Ready for some rest? Press pause on life for a while at Boscamping Zwanemeer. Camp in the heart of the Zwanemeer forest, right next to the outdoor swimming pool and close to Gieten on the Drenthe Hondsrug. Prefer a comfy bed? Choose the Treehouse Village, the Woodland room, a Log Cabin Lodge, the Forest Hut or Tiny House Kees. With our sunshine guarantee, you’re always covered.
Jimm’s Restaurant is open from Thursday to Sunday from 4:30 PM. Breakfast plans? Order your bread rolls online via the kiosk before 5:00 PM and pick them up the next morning at Het Welkomhuys.
New: self check-in, your digital camping buddy and explorer gear
Simply check in at the self check-in kiosk at Het Welkomhuys (10:00 AM–4:30 PM). Arriving later? Just let us know via WhatsApp or email and we’ll leave your items ready for you in a locker. Questions? Your digital camping buddy SjOERd is ready to help. With the explorer backpack and/or the track-finder booklet, children head into the forest as real adventurers!
The forest campsite for children
Our 200 car-free camping pitches with playgrounds and a large air trampoline make it extra safe and fun. In high season, the Woodlanders Club provides adventure, and right next to the campsite you can swim for free and without limits at the Zwanemeer outdoor pool. End your day at Jimm’s Restaurant.
Sunshine guarantee
We get it: good weather makes everything better. That’s why we offer our sunshine guarantee. If the weather doesn’t cooperate for a day, there’s no need to worry. You just keep enjoying your holiday — we’ll take care of the rest. That way, your time in the forest stays relaxing, whatever the sky may do.
Outdoor swimming pool
Next to the campsite you’ll find the forest pool with a competition pool, a leisure pool with a lazy river, and a large waterslide. For the little ones, there is a toddlers’ pool. And good to know: as a holiday guest at Boscamping Zwanemeer, you can swim for free and without limits.
Woodlanders Club
For curious children, there is the Woodlanders Club, our nature education program in collaboration with De Natuurderij. On arrival, they receive a Woodlander Passport. With every forest skill they complete, they earn a stamp. Once the passport is full, they receive a real certificate and a cool Woodlander hat — proof that they know the forest like the back of their hand.
